1. Grain and Food Processing Industry

Grain Processing: Flour mills, sugar mills, starch mills, feed processing plants, granaries, etc. When airborne grain dust (such as flour, powdered sugar, and starch) reaches a certain concentration and encounters an ignition source, it can cause a violent dust explosion.

Food Processing: Cooking oil production plants, alcohol breweries, etc.

2. Textile and Wood Processing Industry
Textile mills: The processing of cotton, linen, wool, and other fibers produces large amounts of flammable fiber fluff and dust.

Wood Processing: Sawmills, furniture factories, and paper mills generate flammable wood dust.

3. Other Locations with Potentially Hazardous Environments
Sewage Treatment Plants: Sewage tanks, pumping stations, and other areas may produce flammable and toxic gases such as methane (biogas) and hydrogen sulfide.

Automotive Spray Paint Shops: Paint spray booths are filled with flammable paint solvent vapors.

Storage and Logistics: Warehouses, ports, and docks that store flammable materials such as paint, alcohol, and solvents.

Laboratories: chemical laboratories and biological laboratories involving flammable and explosive chemicals.

Simply put, if a location is classified as an "explosive atmosphere" and has been clearly divided into explosion-hazardous zones (e.g., Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2; Zone 20, Zone 21, Zone 22) according to national standards (such as China's GB3836), then all electrical equipment within that area, including lighting, must use explosion-proof products of the corresponding explosion-proof grade and type.

Key keywords: flammable gases, flammable vapors, combustible dusts, and flammable fibers. Whenever these substances may be present in the work environment, the use of explosion-proof electrical equipment must be prioritized to ensure the safety of life and property.
